What You Need to Complete Your Moses Basket Setup

  • Moses basket mattress – Always use a firm, flat mattress that fits snugly with no gaps. This is the most important safe sleep requirement.
  • Moses basket stand – Raises the basket to a comfortable height for night feeds. Rocking stands can help soothe a restless baby.

Safe Sleep Guidelines for Moses Baskets

All Moses baskets in our range are selected in line with Lullaby Trust safe sleep guidelines. Key points: always place baby on their back to sleep; use a firm, flat mattress with a well-fitting sheet; keep the basket free from pillows, duvets, and loose bedding; and stop using the Moses basket when your baby reaches the weight limit or shows signs of rolling. The Lullaby Trust recommends babies sleep in the same room as their parents for the first 6 months.
