Cot Fitted Sheets

Cot Fitted Sheets – Soft, Breathable & Safe for Every Night's Sleep

Shop our range of cot fitted sheets – 100% cotton, breathable, and designed to fit standard cot mattresses snugly and securely. A well-fitting sheet is one of the most important safe sleep essentials – and with frequent washing a necessity, having a good rotation of quality sheets makes life significantly easier. Free UK delivery available.

Cot vs Cot Bed vs Travel Cot – Which Sheet Do You Need?

Fitted sheets are size-specific – always match the sheet to your mattress dimensions:

  • Cot fitted sheets – Fit standard cot mattresses, approximately 60cm x 120cm. This is the most common size for babies from around 6 months to 2–3 years.
  • Cot bed fitted sheets – Fit larger cot bed mattresses, approximately 70cm x 140cm. Cot beds convert to a toddler bed, so these sheets last longer.
  • Travel cot fitted sheets – Fit travel cot mattresses, which vary by brand. Always check your travel cot's mattress dimensions before purchasing.
  • Moses basket & crib fitted sheets – Smaller sizes for newborn sleep spaces. See our Moses basket fitted sheets and brand-specific crib sheets.
  • Brand-specific sheets – For bedside cribs (Chicco Next 2 Me, SnuzPod, etc.), always use a sheet designed for your exact model to ensure a safe, snug fit.

How Many Cot Fitted Sheets Do You Need?

We recommend having at least 3 fitted sheets in rotation. Nappy leaks, sick, and spills happen at the worst times – usually at 3am. With 3 sheets, you always have one on the cot, one clean and ready, and one in the wash.

Why Choose Our Cot Fitted Sheets?

  • 100% breathable cotton – Temperature-regulating natural fibres keep your baby cool and comfortable
  • Perfect fit – Deep pockets and elasticated edges that stay firmly in place all night
  • Hypoallergenic – Gentle on sensitive baby skin with no harsh chemicals
  • Machine washable – Easy care, maintains softness wash after wash
  • Stylish variety – Available in various colours and patterns to complement your nursery

Frequently Asked Questions

Standard cot mattresses are approximately 60cm x 120cm, so you need a cot fitted sheet designed for this size. Cot bed mattresses are larger – approximately 70cm x 140cm – and require cot bed fitted sheets. Using the wrong size is a safety risk: a sheet that is too large will have loose fabric that can cover your baby's face. Always check your mattress dimensions before purchasing, and look for sheets with deep pockets and strong elastic that grip the mattress firmly and don't come loose during the night.

We recommend having at least 3 cot fitted sheets in rotation. Nappy leaks, sick, and spills are inevitable – and they tend to happen at the worst times. With 3 sheets, you always have one on the cot, one clean and ready to go, and one in the wash. If you're doing laundry every day, 2 sheets can work, but 3 gives you much more flexibility and means you're never caught short at 3am.

For baby sleep, 100% cotton is generally the better choice. Cotton is naturally breathable and temperature-regulating, helping to keep your baby cool in summer and warm in winter – which is important for reducing the risk of overheating, a key SIDS risk factor. Cotton also gets softer with every wash and is less likely to cause irritation on sensitive baby skin. Polyester or polyester-blend sheets are more wrinkle-resistant and may dry faster, but they are less breathable. For a baby's primary sleep space, breathable 100% cotton is the recommended choice.
