Perfect for keeping children safe from the fire. It is extendable and extends for quite a bit. It doesn’t get too hot when the fire is lit as there is enough distance between the fire and guard. It can be screwed to the wall which means children can’t pull it over.It is a little fiddly putting it together but it will lie flat when taken apart to fit under or behind a sofa.In my opinion it is perfect for the job. Very happy with it.

The product arrived in good time and well packaged all in good condition. It took about 10 minutes to assemble the fire guard, the size is adjustable to fit the exact requirement for hearth size. Some of the fittings were a bit fiddly but no major issues. Probably easier with two people. I had not yet fitted the wall anchors and out wee one pulled the guard over very easily (luckily I was there to catch it). The guard is too heavy and the wall anchors are a MUST if intended to be used around children. I doubt pets would pull it over. The wall anchors supplied were easily fitted, they are very simple metal clips which clip onto the bars. When fire guard is not in use they hang from the walls and look a little odd. However they are required for safety and do the job of keeping the guard from falling. The guard can get a little hot from the fire but nothing like the temperature of the wood burner itself. A worthwhile purchase and a good quality product. I would recommend.

A little fiddly to put together but still managed easily enough. Great for keeping the rabbit away from chewing all the wood around the fireplace and it's great you can make it to fit your fireplace exactly.

No issues with product BUT didn’t receive on stated day. It was dumped with one of our neighbours so I had to chase up. Got it three days later. Evri absolutely useless which unfortunately does reflect on the sale.

I’m impressed with the sturdiness and ease of fitting.
Bought this to protect my cat and dog from the fire. This fire guard, importantly, does not get hot to the touch when fire is in use. Would highly recommend.

I bought the same type of fire guard 38 years ago for my own children and now as my grandchildren grow in number I decided that I must get a fire guard again. Same guard , just as sturdy , I’m really pleased. I’ve even bought my daughter in law one .

Unlike most fireguards, this one assembles to form a rigid, self supporting cage which is capable of adjustment so that it fits the fire surround exactly. We have a one year old coming to stay for Christmas, and a wood stove, so it was essential to have something that he could not easily push over. This appears to fit the bill. It remains to be fully field tested, but I'm fairly confident that it will do what is needed.
